I'm Kiena, been in SL since 2005.

I loved the days of sculpts (and MOD), where you could adjust the stuff to look perfect on you, or even break it apart and use the pieces to make other things altogether.  Now in the days of mesh you can't even scootch your hair around to keep those blasted locks of hair from drilling holes through your temples

Oh, gosh, don't get me started on color and tinting.  Matching blacks and whites is tough enough, but REDS?  With NOMOD, you don't have a chance in hell, especially since some creators can't even match their OWN damned colors

Came in search of another community after Goonsquad poofed.  I kinda like this one, though the 'timeout' thing is going to work against me since I SL in intense bouts with breaks of actually accomplishing work in between

Will be interesting to see how this pans out.  Already not liking DarkStorm (intrinsic in-code lag it seems, VERY unresponsive to input).  I'll try the other one next, and has anyone looked at viewer called A viewer I found on the interwebs?  Seems interesting, but I don't have the time right now to do a full isolation and see who all it *really* tries to connect to, and with what information

Wow, a 2005 OG — much respect! You’re from the golden age of SL when *MOD was life* and we could actually scootch a prim, tint a skirt, or rip a sculpt apart like mad scientists with a dream. 😂 Totally feel you on the nostalgia — back then, creation felt so... *personal*, y’know?

And yes, mesh is gorgeous... until that one rogue hair strand decides it’s a forehead drill. And don’t even get me started on tinting reds — it’s like trying to match lipstick under nightclub lighting. Impossible. NOMOD might as well stand for *No More Options, Darling*. 😩

Really glad you found your way here after Goonsquad (RIP). You’re absolutely welcome in our little madness den. The timeout thing is just a soft nudge to keep the server happy — but don't worry, lots of us SL in bursts too. It's about the *long game*, not a daily grind. 😉

You’re spot-on about Darkstorm — it’s a bit of a diva these days, especially with newer stuff. Definitely give **[Revelator viewer](https://forum.copybot.club/Thread-Revela...build-7610)** a spin next, it behaves better for a lot of folks. And yeah, that other viewer-that-shall-not-be-named… if the forum censors it, let’s just say your instincts are right. 🚨
